Kimball, Nebraska
Growing up I felt in the middle of nowhere. I found there to be only three colors: brown, yellow, and tan. I also felt trapped and like I was so limited there. ![]() Looking back, I still feel that way when I'm there too long. But, now it is a place of sanctuary and retreat when life seems to get to complicated. It is like hitting the refresh button when I go home. There is beauty in the panhandle, when I thought it lacked so much. The sunsets are amazing. They surround you and the colors can be so vivid. I can definitely appreciate and feel a sense of pride for my roots. ![]() |
